A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US

About Jack

In the early months of 2015, a blue cattle cross named Stormy, was dumped at the Kempsey Pound. From there he was taken to a rescue shelter in Taree.

On Maggie's first visit to see Stormy, she thought he was rather rambunctious, and jumped up on people a lot. He was 18 months old, full grown, and he had no training.

A few days later, Stormy was in her car and on the way to a farm in Bunyah.

He didn't respond to the name Stormy, so Maggie decided on an Aussie name - after all he was an Aussie dog..

She called out "Jack!" His ears pricked up and came running over to her. "Well, that's it then... I guess you're now Stormy Jack."

Maggie on Jack

For those of you who know me, you will know that Jack means the world to me,

but you may not know that I suffer with nightmares on an almost nightly basis.

From the time that Jack came into my life, he has helped me through these.

When he first arrived at the farm, he would sleep under my bedroom window,

and he would scratch at the window to wake me up, BEFORE I would start screaming.

Now that he is an inside dog and sleeps on my bed, he licks my face to wake me up,

and again, BEFORE I start screaming.

I am not telling you this to get sympathy, but to impress upon you how amazing this dog is.

He is my hero
